Machine for cutting length profiled sections and partic. mitred stamped out, sawn or cut sections, has at least one functional station with a cutter which can be set at different angles to the length of the section. The cutter is adjustable about one axis and is moved through a stroke to and from the material, the axis being parallel to one transverse to the cross-axis and the layout has a clamping device to hold the section while it is cut. A V-support block for the section has at least two bearing faces across the length of the material so that the material is self-centering at a set position on it. The system by this means fixes the section about a Z-axis parallel to its length and about the X and Y axes also, the adjustable axis for the cutter is thereby orientated in a cross-plane at right angles to the length of the material and parallel to the X or Y axis. ADVANTAGE - The machine set-up functions extremely efficiently. It is partic. suitable for various applications and materials with different profiles and dimensions without needing to be drastically altered.
