Centrifugal evaporator for a soln. or suspension to be evaporated or concd., has a heated, truncated cone-shape, rotation evaporation surface, near the smallest dia. of which a ring-shape dam plate is mounted on the shaft. At its outer periphery, a distribution gap is formed with the distribution surface and, at its inner periphery, a circular gap is open to the shaft. A supply tube for liquid extends to the dam surface. ADVANTAGE - Improved liq. distribution, partic. for highly viscous liquids.
