Diving mask with correction lens - has water filled layer in front of correction lens for non distorted vision above water

The diving mask has a plane lens (9) with the plane/convex correction lens (8) glued to the outside, convex side away from the viewer. This corrects for distortion under the water and provides a corrected image. An outer plane lens (13) forms a trapped space between the correction lens and the outside of the mask. This is filled with water to correct for image distortion when the mask is used out of water. The trapped space can be open to the top (15) for automatic filling when diving. Alternately the space can be filled with degassed water for a permanent structure. ADVANTAGE - Non distorted image both under water and over the water surface.
