An alloy with erosion resistance for use in boilers whose composition is specified in weight % as: not more than 0.1% C, not more than 2.5% Si, not more than 1.0% Mn, not more than 0.03% P, not more than 0.005% S, 10 - 25% Co, 18 - 28% Cr, 10 - 50% Ni, either or both of 2 - 4% Mo, and not more than 8% W, and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities, wherein 0.5 Co + Ni + 1.5 Cr </= 75, and 1.2 </= (Ni + Cr)/(Co + Mo + 0.5 W) </= 2.8.
