A grommet (K) has an elastic grommet body (10) and a camp (3). The body (10) has a cylindrical portion (10a) for receiving a wire bundle (1), a flange (10b) provided at one end of the cylindrical portion (10a), an annular groove (10f) formed on an inner face of an outer peripheral portion (10c) of the flange (10b) and a seal lip (10e) projecting from a distal end of the annular groove (10f) such that a seal lip clamping portion (3b) of the clamp (3) is fitted into the annular groove (10f). The body (10) has an outer peripheral wall (10c) which extends axially from an outer peripheral edge of the flange (10b) and a wall portion (10d) which is bent radially inwardly from a distal end of the outer peripheral wall (10c) such that the annular groove (10f) is defined by the flange (10b). the outer peripheral wall (10c) and the wall portion (10d). The flange (10b) has a large thickness (T1) while the outer peripheral wall (10c) has a thickness (T3) smaller than that (T1) of the flange (10b) so that the seal lip (10e) can be turned up over the flange (10b) into an everted state during fitting together of the body and the clamp. The flange (10b) acts as a stopper for maintaining the everted state thereby simplifying the fitting operation. <IMAGE> |
