PURPOSE:To provide the subject treating agent enhancing the friction coefficient between respective single filaments and improving the interlacing property between the respective single filaments, etc., by compounding a specific dibasic fatty acid ester containing or not containing an alkylene oxide, a polyether polymer surfactant and a specific higher alcohol ethylene oxide adduct in a specified weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:The treating agent contains in an amount of >=90wt.% a mixture produced by mixing (A) 15-50wt.% of a dibasic fatty acid ester not containing an alkylene oxide and having a mol.wt. of 600-1000, (B) 15-50wt.% of a dibasic fatty acid ester containing 20-50wt.% of ethylene oxide and having a mol.wt. of 600-1000, (C) 5-20wt.% of a polyether polymer surfactant having a mol.wt. of 1000-5000, and (D) 20-40wt.% of a higher alcohol ethylene oxide adduct containing 40-70wt.% of an alkylene oxide and having a mol.wt. of 400-600. The treating agent is given to fibers in a spinning process or a drawing process as an oil to improve the heat resistance of the fibers and the smoothness between the fibers and a metal roller and permit the stable operation for a long period. |
