<p>PURPOSE:To use gaps among ceramic particles as air channels so as to reduce the time required for evacuation, by providing a dotted layer with ceramic particles between ribbonlike metallic layers wound overlapping on the outer periphery of a tube. CONSTITUTION:In manufacture of a heat insulating tube, at first a tube 30 is fitted around a mandrel 1, and a left and a right dummy rings 13, 14 are covered on the mandrel too. One end of a stainless steel foil 31 pulled out from a reel 18 on a screw shaft 15 is dot welded on the periphery of the left dummy ring 13, then motors 2, 5 and a driving motor for an injection nozzle 6 are operated to wind the stainless steel foil 31 on the outer periphery of the tube 30 gradually and to form overlapped wound layers of the foil 31, and ceramic particles 32 are injected to form dots between the wound layers. After attaching bands 20 for prevention of turning back of the foil on the outer periphery of the foil 31 layer at a specified interval in the axial direction, the tube 30 is separated from the mandrel 1 to provide a desired heat insulating tube.</p> |
