METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF POLYURETHAN ELASTIC FIBER HAVING ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTICROBIAL ACTIVITY

boiling the mordenite, which is a kind of zeolite and whose average particle size is 0.5-2.0 μm, to control the silica/alumina mole ratio between 12 and 33; ion-exchanging the mordenite with the sterilizing metal such as silver, copper, zinc; dispersing the ion-exchanged mordenite into dimethyl formamide; and feeding it into the conventional fiber-making process, that is, after polymerization process and before spinning process so that the content of the mordenite per polyurethane elastic fiber be 0.5-2.5 wt.%. The fiber made by the method is improved in moisture-absorbing property, thus providing comfortable feeling to a wearer.
