A vacuum filtration appts. is connected to a switching valve via two vacuum channels. One channel enters an annular chamber in the main body occupied by a piston which presses onto a filter membrane. A second channel enters a separate chamber in the centre of the main body. Underneath the body is an elastic sealing plug which has a spherical surface.
