The invention relates to a method connected with the production of partition walls, the wall surfaces being formed by two panels 1 arranged with an interspace between them, and sound insulation material arranged in the space between the panels. The invention also relates to a partition wall. To produce a solution which is advantageous with regard to manufacture and sound insulation, at least some of the sound insulation is formed by rubber chips 9 which are glued to that surface of at least one panel 1 which faces towards the interspace. <IMAGE>
