PURPOSE:To provide the main body cover of a business machine capable of decreasing the number of the parts of an operating mechanism for opening and closing. CONSTITUTION:A lower body 2, into which a sheet carrying path 14 and a mechanism section 12 are incorporated and a top face of which is opened, and an upper body 3, into which a sheet carrying path 29 and a mechanism section 28 are incorporated and a top face of which is opened, are connected vertically rotatably, the upper body 3 and an opening-closing cover 7 are coupled vertically rotatably, and the engaging state of a first engaging mechanism 30 engaging the lower body 2 and the upper body 3 and a second engaging mechanism 31 engaging the upper body 3 and the opening-closing cover 7 is released by a common operating section 42, thus decreasing the number of the parts of an operating mechanism. The states of the opening of the top faces of the lower body 2 and the upper body 3 are detected only by one detecting switch 48 by operating the detecting switch 48 by the working of the operating section 42. |
