PURPOSE:To obtain a roll excellent in peelability of toner and durability by a method wherein at least the outermost layer of elastic body, of which elastic body layer is formed on the outer periphery of a mandrel, is formed out of rubber composition containing the mixture of silicone rubber and fluororubber. CONSTITUTION:In a roll, on the outer periphery of a mandrel 1 of which, elastic body layer 2 made of single layer structure or multilayer structure is formed, at least the outermost layer of the elastic body layer 2 is made of rubber composition containing the mixture of silicone rubber and fluororubber. Thus, at the outermost layer of the elastic body layer 2 of a fixing roll, the wettability, which is the peculiar characteristics of silicone rubber, of silicone oil fed for peeling toner is improved and the outermost layer, which has both the oil resistance and veneer resistance combined with each other, both of which are peculiar characteristics of tire fluororubber. |
