An image forming apparatus is provided to minimize contact with a passing paper during printing on a single side of the paper by varying a position of a guide plate during printing on the single side of the paper or both sides of the paper, thereby preventing a damage of the paper. A plurality of exit rollers(110,120,130) transfers papers passing through a fixing unit(101). A driving unit(140) rotates and rotates reversely the plurality of exit rollers by pivoting. A guide plate(150) guides the transfer of the papers and moves between a position, in which a both-sided printing path(A) is closed during the exit of a paper, and a position, in which the both-sided printing path is opened during the reversion of the paper for printing on both sides of the paper. A link assembly(200) is linked with the pivoting of the driving unit to vary a position of the guide plate.
