COAXIAL GEAR BOX

The box is intended for use in transmission gears of vehicles. It increases the number of gear shift ratios with a reduced number of elements. The box consists of an inlet shaft (1) with mounted gears engaged with a first couple (4 and 5) and second couple (8 and 9) gear wheels positioned on the intermediate shaft (6) and the second intermediate shaft (10). On the two intermediate shafts (6 and 10) are bearing-mounted respectively the third (12) and fourth (13) gear wheels engaged with a fifth gear wheel (14) on the outlet shaft (15) connected via clutch (16) with the inlet shaft (1). On the second intermediate shaft (10) through the second clutch (20) is mounted the eighth gear wheel engaged through a separate gear wheel (22) rigidly fixed to the first couple of gear wheels (4 and 5) on the intermediate shaft (6). To the third (12) and fourth (13) gear wheels are connected respectively the third (23) and fourth (24) clutch. It is possible to increase the number of gearshift ratios by adding new intermediate shafts with the respective elements mounted on them.
