PURPOSE: To improve functions by realizing compact sizes of flywheels and their bearings in an internal combustion engine, reducing cost while ensuring a required service life, and optimizing performances such as lubrication, sealing and heat insulation. CONSTITUTION: A heat insulating intermediate layer 38 is disposed between an outer race 17 and an inertial mass 3 supported by the outer race. An extension portion of this intermediate layer extends until an inner race on at least one side of a bearing, and a lubricant reservoir 40a is formed by this extension region.
