ADSORBENT FOR BLOOD COAGULATION FACTOR VIII

An adsorbent for blood coagulation factor VIII comprising a composite prepared by immobilizing a polycationic molecule onto a water-insoluble carrier, wherein the molecular weight of said molecule is at least 15,000 and the positive charge density is 1-200 mu eq per milliliter of the composite. The adsorbent has such a remarkably specific adsorption behavior against the factor VIII that it can adsorb and recover the same from a solution containing the same at a high selectivity in a high yield.
