摘要 A system for powering the press tool/blade of a press/guillotine employs a hydro-mechanical force transfer mechanism for providing the variable demand imposed by the repetitive work cycle. A motor (4) and coupled (14) pump (5) generate hydraulic pressure for operating the double-acting cylinder (2) via the conduits (16,17) and controller (6). The piston (15) travel is communicated to the links (1) which collectively form a toggle mechanism and force multiplier for the press tool (7). A flywheel (8) on the shaft (12) conveys stored rotational energy to the system to assist the drive throughout the downstroke (9). ADVANTAGE - Enables max. rating of motor to be reduced for a given press configuration and duty or alternatively working stroke can be increased for a given motor capacity. Flywheel principle can be incorporated in rotating components i.e. motor/pump rotors and coupling unit by suitable dimensioning.
