<p>PURPOSE: To provide a lip side orthodontic bracket which is compact, strong, easy-to-use, automatic, or beltless by providing a first fixing means to fix a closing member, and a second fixing means to enable insertion and removal of an arch wire in a closure slot. CONSTITUTION: A closing member 19 crosses an arch wire through a first slot part by a closure slot including a first slot part 20 formed in a side surface part 17A of a bracket main body 14 and a second slot part 28 formed in a side surface part 14B, and an end part of the closing member 19 is inserted into the second slog part 28, so the arch wire is movable to a closure position where it is held on an arch wire slot 12. In the closure slot parts 20, 28, it is provided with a first fixing means for a free end 36 and an inner shoulder surface 18 to fix the closing member 19 at a closure position which can be released, and a second fixing means for an ear 34 and the inner shoulder surface 18 to fix the closing member at an opening position for enabling insertion and removal of the arch wire.</p> |
