The method curtails the drying process through intensification of the very drying process of tobacco drying - the fixation flower, drying of the lamellae and the leaves' central nerve phases, which attains savings in drying capacity and power. The method may be applied with all tobacco varieties, upon weather and artificial drying and within the existing drying facilities. It relies on the fact that the preliminarily yellowed to a certain degree leaves are cut into tapes or fibres, which are then subject to the very drying into a loose mass. With the broad-leaf tobacco and such with thick central nerve of the leaf before and during the cutting, the nerves are removed.
