The method for producing the fiber, which has excellent anti- bacterial property and wash-resistant property while retaining heat-resistance and light-resistance, thus useful for making anti-bacterial carpet, adds 0.001-0.02 wt.%, most preferably 0.003-0.01 wt.%, of anti-bacterial, heat-resistant and light-resistant 10,10'-oxybisphenoxasin (OBPA) of has formula (I) to the weight of treated fiber.
