PURPOSE:To provide a glass mat and a stamp molding sheet having good handleability moldability, and resin impregnability by accumulating disintegrated long glass fiber bundles to shape a loop, accumulating the glass fiber bundle cuts on the loop, and blowing high pressure air through the accumulation to bond the fiber bundles each other. CONSTITUTION:A glass fiber strand 1 is disintegrated in a disintegrator 2. The disintegrated strand 3 is jetted to a baffle plate 4 and dropped on a conveyer 5 to be accumulated into a loop to form the first layer. Another fiber strand 8 is cut by a cutting machine 7, and the fiber cuts 12 are dropped and accumulated on the first layer. The accumulation 14 is sent to a fiber binding apparatus 15. High pressure air is blown through a nozzle 17 to penetrate the accumulation 14. The fiber bundles are thereby entangled to be bonded each other, producing a glass fiber mat 16. The impregnation of the mat 16 with a thermoplastic resin makes a stamp molding sheet. |
