PURPOSE:To prevent the wasteful consumption of transfer paper, in a video printer equipped with a head printing the image based on a video signal on transfer paper and a cutter cutting the transfer paper, by making it possible to change over the feed quantity of transfer paper between printing units at the time of the printing of a plurality of images on the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:In a video printer, when the printing start button arranged on an operation panel is pushed, a platen roller 32 is rotated to feed the transfer paper 20 delivered from a roll 22 to a feed-out port and a thermal head 30 is driven corresponding to an image signal to print an image on the transfer paper 20. The printed transfer paper 20 is cut by a cutter 33. In this case, a post feed switch 83 is provided in order to make it possible to change over the feed quantity (blank quantity) of the transfer paper between printing units over two or more stages when a plurality of images are printed on the transfer paper 20. When the switch 83 is closed, the feed quantity of the transfer paper 20 between the printing units is controlled so as to become the blank quantity considering the cutting of the transfer paper 20. |
