The invention concerns a rod 5 forming part of a syringe which is intended for injection of a liquid, consisting of a container 2, a needle 3, a piston 4 and the said rod 5, and a means 6 for coupling and uncoupling the piston and rod, the said means assuming a coupling state when the piston 4 is drawn by the rod 5 from a position near the needle 3 to a position remote from the needle, and being brought to an uncoupling state when the piston has been pressed by the rod in a direction towards the needle. The said rod 5 is arranged to cooperate with the container in such a way that, upon displacement relative to the container, it is given a rotational movement in relation to the container 2. The portion of the rod facing towards the needle is formed with supporting and/or sliding surfaces arranged to cooperate with opposite supporting and/or sliding surfaces assigned to the piston. In its longitudinal direction, the rod is given a turn of 90 degree or thereabouts and formed with a wide central thin part 5p provided with one or two edges increasing resistance to bending. <IMAGE> |
