PURPOSE:To facilitate the discrimination of a fault location by integrating a fault self-diagnosis function (BITE) in the radio equipment with respect to the analog transmission radio equipment of a press-to-talk type making transmission reception with the same radio frequency. CONSTITUTION:The radio equipment is provided with a base band section 11 of a transmission system 1, a modulation section 12, a frequency conversion section 13, loopback switches 41-44 looping back an output of an RF section 14 respectively to a base band section 21 of a reception system 2, a demodulation section 22, a frequency conversion section 23, and an input of an RF section 24, an amplitude phase adjustment section 5 adjusting a signal SBOUT looped back by the loopback switches 41-44 and outputted from the base band section 21 of the reception section 2 so that the signal is equal to a test signal SBIN inputted to the base band section 11 of the transmission system 1, and a fault discrimination section 6 discriminating it to be the occurrence of a fault in a loopback path when a difference between the test signal SBIN and an output SBOUT from the amplitude phase adjustment section 5 exceeds a prescribed threshold level Vth. |
