The subject of the invention is an apparatus for transmission of alarm data from an antenna amplifier unit 1 to a receiver unit 2 placed separate from the antenna 3, comprising a power supply means 20 for supplying the operating voltage to the antenna amplifier unit along an antenna cable 4. The antenna amplifier unit comprises a DTMF generator 13 which is connected to the antenna cable 4 for sending of sonic frequency pairs describing the condition of the antenna amplifier to the antenna cable as response to the antenna amplifier's internal alarm signals 12 which are fed to the control inputs of the DTMF generator. The receiver unit 2 comprises a DTMF receiver 21 for reception of said sonic frequency pairs from the antenna cable and for decoding into the original alarm signals 22.
