<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal display device having a satisfactory image quality by providing a thin film rectifying element between a connecting part of two pieces of thin film MOS transistors and a gate line. CONSTITUTION:A driving circuit is a CMOS circuit constituted of a polycrystal silicon thin film transistor. A vertical driving circuit, and a horizontal driving circuit consist of a shift register 1 and a gate line driving buffer 2, and a shift register 3, a signal line selecting analog switch 4 and a signal potential holding capacity 5, respectively. Also, a picture element part consists of an analog switch by two pieces of NMOS thin film transistors 6a, 6b, a liquid crystal cell 7, an accumulation capacity 8, and a rectifying element 10 inserted between a connecting point of two pieces of thin film transistors 6a, 6b, and a gate line 9. In such a way, by providing the rectifying element 10, a leak current in a holding period of a switch element of the picture element part can be decreased, and a potential variation of a picture element electrode caused by the leak current can be suppressed.</p> |
