PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution extremely and cut down the cost by rotating a rotor, making use of the partial expansion and contraction in the circumferential direction of a piezoelectric substance ring. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric stepping motor 1 is composed of motor housing 2, which has a right circular hole 3, a piezoelectric ring 4, which is accommodated through at least four bosses 5a-5d in the hole 3, clamp electrodes 20a-20d, which are annexed to the piezoelectric body ring 4 so as to selectively retreat the bosses 5a-5d, and displacement electrodes 30A-30D, which are annexed to the piezoelectric body ring 4 so at to change the mutual distances between the bosses 5a-5d by expanding or contracting the piezoelectric ring 4 in circumferential direction. |
