PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation of metallic magnetic powder and to obtain the metallic magnetic powder having excellent oxidation resistance and rust resistance by surface-treating the surfaces of metallic magnetic particles with cyclic ethers or furan. CONSTITUTION:Fine metallic magnetic powder is added to various cyclic ethers or furan, irradiated with an ultrasonic wave, and then left to stand for. Organic compound solid at the ordinary temperature is heated to be melted, and then the metallic magnetic powder is added. This powder is filtered, and sufficiently dried in a dry nitrogen atmosphere so as to remove physically adsorbed compound to obtain processed powder. A film of the organic compound is formed on the surface of the powder by adsorbing the compound to the powder, thereby improving oxidation resistance, rust resistance of the metallic magnetic particles. |
