PURPOSE:To prevent the control of toner concentration from being obstructed by making the rotational speed of a toner replenishment member consisting of a brush roller at a normal rotating time and a reverse rotating time different so that the respective replenishment quantity of toner is made equal at the normal rotating time and the reverse rotating time. CONSTITUTION:The toner replenishment member 4 consisting of the brush roller is arranged in a toner container 2 provided with a toner discharge port 5 and driven to be rotated under a state that a toner scraping member 6 provided near the port 5 is made to intrude. Besides, the toner 8 scraped from the replenishment member 4 by the scraping member 6 is replenished to the part to be replenished of the toner from the port 5. Then, the replenishment member 4 is driven to normally and reversely rotated so that the brush tilt direction thereof is changed and simultaneously driven to be rotated so that the rotational speed becomes different an so that the replenishment quantity of the toner per unit time at the normal rotating time and the reverse rotating time made nearly equal. |
