PURPOSE:To remove reception errors by according the phases of the lights of two wave guide modes with each other in case of obtaining a high level of output and joining them, and dispersing the waveguide modes and emphasizing the light intensity in case of getting a low level of output. CONSTITUTION:In case of obtaining a high level of output, the lights of two waveguide modes are joined and propagated by a waveguide path 4, and then they are joined by according the phase to each other by the waveguide paths 5-7 at the latter stage. Moreover, in case of obtaining a low level of output, two wavegumde modes are dispersed inside a waveguide path 4, whereby the light intensity is emphasized. Thereby, the quantity of light absorbed becomes small, and the adverse effect by chirping becomes small, and it becomes hard to cause reception error. |
