PURPOSE:To obtain beautiful cut edge surfaces of a plastic sheet by cutting a groove on one surface of the plastic sheet immediately after it is molded, and bending the plastic sheet by taper rollers. CONSTITUTION:A plastic sheet 3, which has just been extruded from a metal mold 1, is embossed while it is passed between rolls 6. On both edge portions of the plastic sheet 3 grooves are cut 4 at one surface thereof with trimming cutters 2 blades of which are directed toward one of the rolls 6. These edge portions of the plastic sheet 3 are passed between taper rollers 5, so that the edge portions of the sheet 3 are bent at an angle in accordance with an angle of inclination of the taper rollers 5 as the cuts 4 are opened. Both edge portions of the sheet 3 are then passed between rolls 7 provided on the downstream side of the rollers 5 so as to be separated from the sheet 3. |
