PURPOSE:To always throw a light spot to a track in the same attitude by preventing the light spot from being turned on the disk surface by turning of a swing arm in a swing arm type optical head device. CONSTITUTION:A turning body 52 is turned around an axial line 14. A first optical means 84 provided with a light source (laser diode) 60 and a photo detector (PIN photo diode) 66 is separated from the turning body 52 and is fixed to a fixing part 72. Laser light 76 from the first optical means 84 passes on the axial line 14 and is deflected by a mirror (first optical path deflection means) 90. The mirror 90 is turned together with the turning body 52 to guide the laser light 76 to an optical path 70. The laser light 76 is reflected by a mirror (second optical path deflection means) 58 and passes an objective lens 56 and is thrown to an optical disk recording face 12a. A reflected beam 76' passes in the same route and is received by the photodetector 66. Since the first optical means 84 is fixed, the laser light 76 is not turned regardless of turning of the turning body 52, and a light spot 80 on the recording face 12a is only moved in parallel but is not turned. |
