PURPOSE:To achieve high-speed graphic drawing by reducing the total number of linear data to be drawn into a frame memory when any simple output is sufficient for layout inspection, etc., at a high-fidelity graphic device. CONSTITUTION:First of all, data at both terminal points of a straight line are inputted (SP1), these data at both terminal points are compressed with a prescribed amount (SP2). Next, the linear data are generated based on the compressed data at both terminal points (SP3), the respective linear data are extended with a regenerative amount corresponding to the prescribed amount (SP4), and the result is drawn in the frame memory (SP5). Then, the contents of the frame memory are displayed on a graphic display or outputted to a page printer (SP6). |
