A stand assembly and a display device having the same are provided to correspond to various kinds of display parts having different weights and adjust the numbers of support bars which are combined with a base member so as to support the display part by the stabilized stand assembly and to reduce costs without an additional stand assembly. A stand assembly(120) comprises a stand shaft(121), a plurality of support bars(122), and a base member(123). The stand shaft is combined at a display part. The base member has a body(123a) vertical to the stand shaft, and combining grooves(123b) formed on an outer peripheral surface of the body and detached from the support bars selectively. A stand cover(124) has a shaft receiving part(124a) and is combined with the base member.
