The present invention relates to a rear-view mirror (1) for a vehicle. This rear-view mirror is characterised in that its body (2) has peripheral bearing means (10a, 10b) allowing introduction of the reflecting plate (4) into its seat (5), in at least a first relative position, and interacting with the reflecting plate (4) in order to prevent extraction of this plate in a second relative position constituting the in-use position, and in that it comprises elastic means (24) interacting with the reflecting plate (4) so as to hold this reflecting plate (4) in its second relative position (Figure 2). <IMAGE>
