PURPOSE:To provide a charging system for system interconnection battery in which power generated from solar cells can be utilized effectively. CONSTITUTION:The charging system comprises solar cells 1, a battery 3 connected therewith. and a bilateral converter 2 having DC side terminal connected with the joint of the solar cells 1 and the battery 3 and AC side terminal interconnected with a system, wherein the charging current of the battery 3 is controlled to a predetermined level and the bilateral converter 2 is controlled so that maximum output power can be taken out from the solar cells.
