PURPOSE:To realize a driver for power semiconductor element in which the power semiconductor element is not broken down even if a main circuit power supply and a control power supply are interrupted. CONSTITUTION:A switching circuit 23 connected with a backup power supply 24 is connected between a power supply circuit 21 for driving circuit receiving power from a control power supply 1 and a power semiconductor driving circuit 22 outputting a power semiconductor driving signal. Upon interruption of the control power supply 1, power is fed from the backup power supply 24 through the switching circuit 23 to the power semiconductor driving circuit 22 thus protecting a power semiconductor element receiving a power semiconductor driving signal against breakdown. |
