<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a device and a method for uniforming the illumination of tungsten light. CONSTITUTION: In an optical system for illuminating a deformable mirror device(DMD) array 203 by a method for efficiently transferring light to an image forming lens, the DMD array 203 is arranged between a light source 11 and a lens aperture 21. An anamorphic optical path is arranged in a compressed state so that a vertical light component is suited to the physical shape of the DMD array 203. When the vertical light compoment is optically converged in the front of the lens aperture, a horizontal light component is directly converged on the aperture. While providing light of higher intensity by the DMD array 203, a lens aperture 202 is completely filled with both the light components.</p> |
