PURPOSE:To enable copying soon after turning on of a main power switch and to reduce waiting time in a copying machine with a high-speed mode. CONSTITUTION:A control part 8 is provided for controlling a copying mechanism 6, a display part 7, etc., based on manipulation of a high-speed mode selection key 2 and measured temperature with a fixing thermistor 3. This control part 8 starts electrifying a fixing heater 5 with turning on of a main power switch, has the display part 7 display that copying in a normal mode is possible when the measured temperature at the fixing thermistor 3 reaches a first set value and allows copying in the normal mode by the copying mechanism 6 at that point. And when the measured temperature at the fixing thermistor 3 reaches a second set value, it has the display part 7 display that copying in a high-speed mode is also possible and allows copying in the high-speed mode by the copying mechanism 6 at that point. |
