PURPOSE:To rapidly lower the temperature of an original platen even when a fan is stopped immediately after finishing scanning by setting the average moving speed of an illuminating lamp in the case of final returning lower than the returning speed in the case of consecutively going and returning. CONSTITUTION:A illuminating lamp 1 being an original scanning means is set so that it goes and returns between an initial position and a scanning finishing position by a driving means(pulse motor). A fan device 17 takes in cool air from the outside of a machine and blows off the periphery of the lower surface of an original platen glass 2 so as to prevent the temperature from excessively rising by the irradiation by the lamp 1. When the consecutive copying is performed and the scanning of the originals of set number is finished, a pulse signal whose frequency is lower than at the time of ordinary returning is transmitted to the pulse motor from a pulse motor control means, and the glass 2 is moved toward the initial position at the specified final returning speed. Thus, the remaining heat of the lamp 1 is not partially concentrated and dispersed all over the glass 2. |
