<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a movement of a cursor display on the display surface even if a rotation of a member is generated at the time of start and end of a depressing operation by invalidating a prescribed quantity of position moving information generated immediately before the start and immediately after the end of the depression of the member such as a track ball, etc. CONSTITUTION:A pointing device generates a signal for showing a moving position corresponding to a detected rotational moving amount by its signal generation quantity, and also, generates other information signal in the case a depressing operation of a member is detected, and moves and displays a specific graphic in a moving position shown by a position moving information signal. A signal processing means 1000 invalidates a prescribed quantity of position moving information signal generated immediately before the depressing operation of the member and immediately after the end of the depressing operation. Also, in the case other information signal is used as an information signal for instructing to switch a position moving speed of the specific graphic, a first display control means 1100 switches the position moving speed in accordance with generation of the information signal.
