The invention relates to a process for the treatment of piggery liquid manure by which the liquid manure is subjected to a biological treatment before adding a coagulating agent to it so as to separate a liquid phase and a concrete phase which can be stored for subsequent spreading, process characterised in that the liquid manure is transferred into a biological reactor and it is reacted with bacteria of the type called facultative anaerobes capable of producing cellulases so as to allow degradation of the cellulose present in the liquid manure until C6 monomers are obtained.
