PURPOSE:To improve accuracy by providing a reading means which generates plural chrominance component signals representing carried identification objects, and deciding similarity between the identification objects and a specific image based on the chrominance component signals. CONSTITUTION:R, G, and B signals read by a color sensor CCD 1009 are amplified by an analog amplifier 2000, and they are converted to digital signals of five bits by an A/D converter 2001, respectively, and illumination nonuniformity and luminance nonuniformity in a direction of read image picture element due to the difference of the sensitivity of a sensor, etc., can be corrected by a shading correction circuit 2002. Authenticity decision for sheet paper or the like is performed by using an input image signal at a color/space matching decision circuit 2003, and clutch control signals 1020-1022 are generated. The clutch control signals 1020-1022 can be generated by decision signals 3001-3006 generated by sheet paper decision parts 3010-3015. When the clutch signal shows 1, a corresponding clutch control part is operated so as to fetch the sheet paper in a stacker by opening a clutch. |
