<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the curling of a sheet in the printing on a sheet such as common paper and save the consumed power. CONSTITUTION:A medium is carried through either of a first traveling route 44 partly having a U-shaped part and a second traveling route 27 formed linearly. Ahead them, a common entrance sensor 28 for detecting the medium is provided. A paper feed mechanism part 41 is provided to carry the medium through the first traveling route 44, and it is judged whether the paper feeding mechanism part 41 is operating when the medium is detected by the entrance sensor 28. When the medium is carried through the second traveling route 27, the set temperature of a fixing device 22 is raised because the medium is a thick specific medium. When the medium is carried through the first traveling route 44, the set temperature of the fixing device 22 is lowered because the medium is a thin sheet.</p> |
