A device for treating and especially cleaning level surfaces has a housing (1) in which a processing tool (9) is fitted to rotate about an axis at right angles to the surface (10). This tool (9) is caused to rotate by a drive (26). A treatment fluid is applied to the surface (10) outside the field of rotation of the tool (9) via a supply line (24) and removed via a discharge line (33). The underpressure in the discharge line (33) and the rotation speed of the rotary tool (9) are mutually adjusted so that the treatment fluid applied is drawn substantially radially inwards to the discharge line (33). This prevents environmental pollution. |
