<p>Apparatus for preparing corrugated paperboard structures in which two fluted mediums (1, 2) are bonded together at their flute tips to form the core of corrugated paperboard structure. Two sets of synchronized corrugating rolls (4, 5, 6, 7) produce the fluted mediums which are bonded at their flute tips and transferred to the supporting surface of a corrugated belt (10) which passes over the surface of a transfer roll (9) and a curved vacuum box (12). The corrugated belt (10) is perforated to enable the fluted mediums to be retained on the corrugated belt by the vacuum source as the mediums are conveyed past a glue applicator station (13) and a liner applicator station (14, 15) to form a single faced board with two fluted mediums and a liner.</p> |
