A spark plug for an internal combustion engine is provided to employ an insulator so that a sealing state and a fastening state of a metal shell is able to be maintained. A spark plug(1) includes an insulator(2), a central electrode(5), a metal shell(3), and a ground electrode(27). The insulator has a shaft hole(4). The central electrode is partially inserted into the shaft hole. The metal shell surrounds an outer portion of the insulator. The metal shell is fixed to the insulator by a crimp unit(20) provided at a rear end of the metal shell. The ground electrode is coupled to the metal shell so that the central electrode faces a drawing end through a spark discharge gap(33).
