A 6-speed power train of an automatic transmission for a vehicle and a power delivery method thereof are provided to simplify a structure of the transmission by using a composite planetary gear set, three clutches, and two brakes. A first planetary gear set includes a first sun gear(S1), which is fixed on a transmission case, a first ring gear(R1), and a first planetary carrier(C1), which is variably coupled with a second sun gear of a second planetary gear set. A third clutch(C-3) and a first brake(B1) are parallel-connected with each other, such that the first planetary carrier is variably coupled with one side of the second sun gear. The second planetary gear set includes the second sun gear(S2), a second planetary carrier(C2), and a second ring gear(R2). A third planetary gear set includes a third sun gear(S3), a fourth sun gear(S3'), and a third planetary carrier(C3). The fourth sun gear is directly connected to the second ring gear. A center member is connected to the third planetary carrier. The center member is variably connected to the input shaft through the second clutch. The center member is variably connected to the transmission case through the second brake.
