<p>A monoclonal antibody directed against a novel cell adhesion molecule of glial cells has been developed. The glial cell adhesion molecule is characterized by a molecular weight of around 106 kDa. The antibody is specific for the glial cell adhesion molecule and is marked by an ability to disrupt the formation of gliotic scars in damaged nerve tissue.</p> |
