New ethylene derivs. e.g. (e)-thiocarbonic acid-o-ethyl-S-styryl di:ester - useful as fungicides, insecticides and acaricides

Ethylene derivs. of formula (I) are new, where R1 is N-heteroaryl or opt. substd. phenyl; R2 is H or opt. substd. phenyl; and R3 is 1-12C alkyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl or aryl (1-6C)alkyl. Specifically claimed are (E)-thiocarbonic acid-O-ethyl-S-styryl diester (Ia); and (E)-thiocarbonic acid-S-(2-(biphenyl-4-yl)ethenyl) -O-ethyldiester. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are fungicides (e.g. against Erisyphe granius or Plasmopara viticola), insecticides and acaricides. They are thus useful as plant protectants, and dosage is 0.1-10: esp. 0.05-5) kg/ha.
